| Some good & a bad news! on: 2006-12-30 |
On the second birthday of www.MayrHayasdan.com, there are some pretty news & an ugly one too!
I’ll start with the ugly one first. During the last year I have seen a lot of my photos published &/or used in various formats & presentations. Sadly most of the “users” not only have not contacted me for permission or removed the copyright notice from the bottom of the page, but one has dared also to presented the photos as his photos, shot by himself, which really pisses me off.
Although I have shot these photos & made a site to introduce the Mother Armenia to the world, I have clearly stated that these photos are protected by copyright law worldwide & can not be used without my notice.
On the other hand there is some good news; I have been contacted by a some people to use some photos from the site for publications, advertisement, books, and websites. I have even provided some with higher resolution photos.
The page rank of the site is growing nicely; currently www.MayrHayasdan.com has a Google page rank of 4/10 with is awesome. I would like to thank everyone who links to the site &/or helped me to spread the word.
The rank of the site is helping a lot to get new visitors & a couple of days ago, the site broke the 200,000 pages viewed margin.
